Its probably best we avoid the finishing in the top six. If you get into the play offs, its possible to stumble into the Premier League (a la QPR). Could you imagine our bunch of misfits under the current management playing even the worst teams in the PL. It's the stuff of nightmares....
Nightmares indeed
Oh the fickle football fan.
DW must be starting to enjoy all the criticism heaped on him...and MM must have a wry smile too...If you can keep your head when all about are losing theirs, and blaming it on you...![]()

If Wassall does get us up there is a lot of humble pie to be eaten.
If, and it is still a very BIG if, Darren does get us up to the Promised land he definitely deserves a crack at the top job. The guy would be a legend in my eyes. Can you remember the state we were in when Clement took the bullet? It was dire.
Look, the post was made after a god awful display at Cardiff. I'd been to Wolves, I'd been to Rotherham and I was totally fed up , I'm not sure what happened after the Cardiff game but something did .Maybe Harry got more involved , maybe Wassell decided that after all that it's better to play players in their correct positions. We are a different side now and things are looking up . COYROriginally Posted by southernram22
Even the best seasons have poor away performances.
Managers have to come from somewhere and who's to say Darren Wassall can't go on to be a top one?
The big approach is not always the correct one.
Darren Wassall win ratio = 62%. You can't argue with that.

To be fair nobody including the "wise after the event" guys were predicting much at that stage.
For me harry coming in has clearly had an effect, his experience and know how on the training ground and before games must have a big bearing and of course the players will respect him- credit to Wassall for working with an experienced - makes you wonder what Clough might have achieved if he had allowed a more experienced guy to work alongside him.
