TBH we should have slightly higher expectations than Bolton fans, the frustrating thing for me is that we are so close we have the owner we have the players the fan base the training facilities the stadium, we just need a manager to tie it all together .Mabye Clement was that man , maybe he wasn't but Wassall definitely is not and I just can't help feeling we have thrown this season away by putting him in charge . We can only hope MM makes the right choice ready for next season in the championship.

I think everyone at the club hoped and expected better than we have been served up thus far this season. Mel has made some big mistakes no doubt. But they are mistakes that are costing him millions and therefore mistakes I doubt he will make again. I fully believe he, Sam et el will get us where we want to be, it will probably just take a little longer than we all hoped. But this constant belly aching and sniping is just boring to listen too. Give it a rest

I don't want you to shut up and I haven't called you a 'moaning git' OTR...I've said your criticism used to be more constructive. Look at the thread title and the fact that elsewhere you're encouraging people not to renew or to seek a refund. I think you know a lot about football but how is any of that helping?

    Lost interest in August.

Predicted this mess then and haven't been let down.

The wassell app was well past the last straw for me. Probs deeper than manager.

Sadly, it's at the point where we need a total clear out. Horrifically disappointing after the years we've put into building what SMc ****d up by deciding to jump ship in jan 15.

Almost as disinterested in the football today as I was during the tedious crap served up under Clough N

Yes it does seem to stem from that. I tried to stick with McLaren when he was being slated as I thought he would see it through. I wasn't initially that keen on Clement but I gradually bought into Mels long term strategy built around PC. The Wassall appointment was a shambles to far for me, and until that changes I have little enthusiasm or optimism. My ambition for the club has changed. I will be satisfied if Mel keeps DCFC on a sound financial footing and maintains championship status for the club.

Whilst you've wasted £25 million at least you don't face the possibility of relegation like ourselves again.
Don't agree that our owner is a 'clown' or, for what it's worth, that you face much 'possibility of relegation'.
Wasted £25 million? Not sure about that either. We don't seem to have spent very wisely but good players don't suddenly become bad ones. Just need the right manager who understands the strengths of the players we have and things will hopefully come right. Just look at the difference better management has made to the England cricket and rugby sides.

Just back from 2 weeks away and it's nice to see nothing has changed !

I will be very honest..I have started to lose interest in this team and the set up currently.
The last time I felt this disillusioned was under Nigel Clough...albeit we sit 6th still....it is just the expectation and money spent that has done this.
To not appoint a proper manager is criminal...next year will see some big clubs in the championship and will, I believe tougher to go up than this year.

This is really a wasted opportunity .

Well said Garibaldi. I think there are a few on this board who should accept that, whilst grim at the moment, it's all relative and things could certainly be a lot worse. I've not lost interest this year but simply come to terms with the fact that it isn't going to happen this year and, maybe not next year or the year after. I'm also not getting my underwear in a twist because we haven't appointed a new permanent manager. I have managed to convince myself that there is a good reason it's not happened yet and a new man (not Wassell) will be appointed at the
