According to the MEN - Veteran striker turns down new deal with Bury and will skipper club in his last game against Southend at Gigg Lane on Saturday. Bury legend Ryan Lowe has confirmed he will be leaving the League One club at the end of the season.
Lowe said: “I understand the club’s decision and reasons for offering me an appearance incentivised contract, however I have a real ambition to play as many games as I can and for as long as I possibly can. With this in mind I have made the tough choice to leave this great club as I have received a very good offer from another club.”
A joint statement by manager David Flitcroft and chairman Stewart Day read: “As a club, we wanted Ryan to stay, but we know he wanted a longer-term deal that we could not offer and as such offered him the best deal we could as a business.”

Just read that sounds like good news for us I reckon he will bring out the best of Callum Saunders and some of the young ones. A bit like Ron Futcher with Tony Naylor? Sounds like SD is confident Zooms will resign 2 more old heads and we could have a good season ?

How nice not to be reading that everyone thinks we are doomed next season as well. I am relatively optimistic. Sure we will have bad spells but I expect us to finish in the top half

I think with Ryan Lowe, Zooms bombing down the wing it could make some of the youngsters like Callum Saunders I know I keep saying about David Vaughan but those 3 with either one more or a good loan signing and we could be in for a good season
