Today is actually a good day for Unionism in Scotland, all the snp have done is they have killed off labour and united British unionist oppositon , labour effectively died with Blair.

I wouldn't be so sure, once people get fed up with 20+ years of Tory rule & having the SNP making a c*nt of it in Holyrood, there will have to be some sort of comeback. I would expect it to come in the form of Labour but they'll need to get more Jeremy Corbyn types in & the Blairites out. Personally, I would like to vote for a good Labour party myself, but they don't exist at the moment.Originally Posted by gersforme

I don't mean exactly like him, I mean more left wingers.
Having said that, I do have a lot of time for Corbyn & I think the media's (BBC especially) treatment of him has been phucking atrocious.

I didn't like the idea at first mate but I think it's been misrepresented. It's basically formalising existing accountabilities and if it reduces the chances of Victoria k or Baby P incidents (God bless them all) then it's worth trying it out. Every week there is another if these stories and we always think 'could we have done more'. Worth piloting it at least.
A lot more to the recent attacks on Labour than meets the eye methinks.Originally Posted by Mook1

Quite.
never really sure on here if we're talking about Holyrood or Westminster. Obviously it's only the latter parliament which has any relevance, so whether English voters want to be back in the 70's, god only knows. If we're talking about the Scottish parliament, I'm actually quite happy to see the Scottish Tories being the runners-up, anyone but labour.Originally Posted by Mook1
