Completely agree with that Manx. For me Weimann's injury was the turning point. Would have preferred to bring Camara on rather than Ince. Seemed to be directness and speed that was causing them trouble and Ince showed neither of those.
Oh well, at least they showed up tonight and we don't have to worry about whether the 'world beaters' or the 'no shows' turn up at Wembley.
The play-offs summed up our season really - dire on Saturday, brave and determined on Tuesday - and so we fans were 'teased' and ultimately frustrated to the end.
No point in having a pop at Wassall imo. The job was dumped on him for whatever reason and he did his best but for all that I want to see him replaced.
All that matters now is getting the next appointment spot on. I'm confident MM will have learned some lessons f

Fine effort last night, but ultimately too big a hill to climb.

Feel Wassall gets a bit too much stick. He's not really made many bad choices. It's easy to say he's no experience when things go wrong, but even experienced managers don't get things right 100% of the time. He came in at a tricky time and has had to deal with a fragmented squad. Is he the long term answer...not sure, probably not, but I don't hold any malice towards him for the job he's done.

I feel he deserves credit for stabilising selection. Whether you agree with his choices or not, I think he showed courage to pick the players he felt he wanted and didn't chop and change too much to keep everyone happy. Team spirit seemed to pick up from where it was in Jan and we came closer to promotion than I though we would 2 months ago.

Whoever is in charge next needs to be given time to choose a style and who he wants to keep from the current squad before any new players are signed. PC didn't get that and neithe

Does post 12 mean you'd stick with DW, Ella?
I'm not disrespecting him, I'd prefer him to stay at the club with the U21s and I don't think he's done anything like as badly as some suggest. Apart from Toggles' comment above about PC, which I'm still unsure we know the 'ins and outs' of, I agree with what he says about Wassall, but for me a new manager and a leader are what is now essential.
