Regarding Ronnie a couple of memories. I was at OT when he scored his first goal for Manyoo against us and great things were predicted for him even then (although he looked a flukey lightweight to me). Also at FP when the Manyoo bus arrived I saw his face drop as he got off the coach round the back by the Milton End and he saw the graffitti and barbed wire. He spent most of the match on his arse, arms folded and sulking. I think he is a preening, pumped-up prick, not fit to lace Messi's boots in the who's best argument, but that is just a personal opinion. His comments and behaviour after the Iceland game said it all about the bloke. Portugal have gone from having my hero Eusebio to my pantomime villain Ronnie and have become my must-lose side. It says it all about the modern footballer.
Eurorant volume 2 now over.![]()
I think an I.O.W. background warps your view of the world.![]()
I can't summon up the interest for a Eurorant today, that performance has sucked the energy out of me. I would ask only two questions of Royston. What is the point of effectively playing a third c/back in Dier when the opposition are only interested in getting ten men behind the ball? And why did we continually try and batter our way through the centre of their defence when it was patently obvious the best way to open them up was down the flanks? Clyne did well in the first half but that avenue of opportunity was closed down. Basically Royston I think you fecked up again with your team selection. We are now only one game from possibly going out. Why the feck are you saving players legs at this stage of the compo for?
Actually this has turned into Eurorant 3 which is now over.
I can't disagree with any of that, excellent post. I was bitterly disappointed last night as was the large Hayling crowd I watched it with. To quote Woy he was "surprised how we dominated our 3 matches" (but we only won one Woy due to only scoring 3 goals of course). Never mind back to the gardening, 6 evenings for me before I watch another game.
You should have watched the Wales game Corks, you'd have enjoyed that
Btw agree about Joe Hart, gobby tw@t.
I'd have stuck Forster in goal last night to teach dandruff boy a lesson
