Yes, I think the North and the East are doing OK, its just the west and the midlands that suffer occasionally, but in truth it hasn't been that bad.

Did the Welshpool/Llanfair steam railway today. Just about I hr 20mins from my sisters house. Really good, if the sun would have shone it would have been spectacular.

Great ride back, I stood on an open platform at the front of the first carriage just behind the engine. Felt like I was driving the b ugger myself.

Watching the video woody, i feel like i'm on the train myself with how close you are to the engine, glad you're enjoying your trips, pity about the weather, but we all know how unpredictable it can be.

Thanks Gav. The only issue with the weather was it kept looking like it was going to break out but never did. Just a bit frustrating. It least it didn't rain and hey, its Wales we are talking about!

I was so close to the engine I could have reached out and touched the firebox. Didn't want the journey to end really.

Back home tomorrow, sitting in a hotel in London at the mo loving the A/C! I was cursing the weather 10 days ago but the last two nights have been horrendous, I'm sure for everyone. Impossible to sleep, I don't know how you b uggers survive without air conditioning.
