What a ****in' daft question! Oh yeh,we'll happily surrender our 96 year long stint in The Football League for the opportunity of locking horns with Chester,Wrectum and Macc Town again, albeit as a 'non-league outfit'.
It would be well worth the drop in kudos,image,prestige.NOT.

Why not play 5-3-2 with three centre halfs if it height we are after.
Worry from Lincoln game for me is that we didn't score

Oh I'm well aware he was being sarcy.
But I don't care-I can feel the vibe and it's good and growing.Crewe are on the cusp of a surge in interest and passion which will benefit the club, and ofcourse the the town, for the immediate term.

Another quote, apparently last Saturday was a baptism of fire for them and it was new to them. Which players exactly was it new to, and we were playing against a team from a league below us? Next Saturday we will be concentrating on picking our team to counter Stevenage, I'm sure that they will be worrying about us, not.

Maybe Steve was overawed with Lincoln, didn't he use them as an example last season as a club that are bigger than the Alex, with their bigger crowds, recent championship history and so on.

Totally agree, i have been saying that all summer. Both of our full backs are attacking and as Lincoln proved, we need more height for set pieces etc. You could play the following:

    GK: Garratt
    RWB: Turton
    CD: Davis
    CD: Nugent
    CD: Guthrie
    LWB: Bakayogo
    CM: Jones
    CM: Bingham
    CM: Ainley
    ST: Dagnall
    ST: Lowe

However, SD won't play this formation as Cooper and Kirk are not included. Sod them in my opinion and try to play to our strengths.............if we have any.

It will be Davis and Ray first choice CBs when they inspire little or no confidence. Guthrie and Nugent for me this season as the first choice. Agree that Davis should be moved on and , after a few games, so should his father.

Once again, we have no proper full backs and go 0-2 down in the first ten minutes. Did last season really end? Fully agree with Preston76 - when can we have the "like" button back?
