Thread: What Players Do You the Fans Want at NYS

  1. #11
le Fondre: I know it's not happening a real shame because he'd get us the goals we need.
    Grant Ward.
Atdhe Nuhiu: Exactly what we need
Lewis McGugan: Better than what we have.
    The right back on trail.

Why does it matter signing players from Wednesday?

I don't like signing players from same league as it is I think you need to buy better players than your compition not take their cast offs

And I wouldn't want fondre too much money in wages and He may not be what he was.

What we need are young talented players and most of all a striker who can shoot on target.. Lots of shots last season that went everywhere but the net.

We are all (including me) hoping that Grant will return for another season, but why would he? He's been there, done that heroic anti-relegation stuff, so surely he would be looking to show his talents in a team with more potential. He's got to be ambitious, and the top end of the Chumpship has got to be a better shop window.

Absolutely correct, which is why i"d put a bid in for Gboly Ariyibi.Very similar player, pacey, direct, and has a trick or two.Ward was probably our main provider last season, will be a big loss.

    G Ward on loan

    D Watmore & W Keane sign

That's attach sorted, defence 3 needed both full back positions & Centre back.

Is Nuhiu available? If so he'd definitely be worth a punt.
McGugan would be a great addition but he'll probably get better offers than we are prepared to make.
I'd love to see Grant Ward back but now that we've said we're after him, other clubs will probably start sniffing around.
I know very little about Scottish football but wouldn't be surprised if one of our striker targets is from north of the border. I also wouldn't be surprised if a few more of our recruits come from that part of the world as they're bound to be cheap (cost effective?!).
I just wish we'd get on with it.

Grant ward. ALF. And a left sided player.
Mattock will play every game when he's fit. Which from past 3/4 seasons is about 30 games. Newell can cover LB but his game to injury record is about the same.
TBH I'm happy with the squad regards starting 11. It's the players in depth were lacking. With what we got we have plan A. If that doesn't work were screwed.
My 11 as it stands Saturday 451
    Camp.
    Kelly.
    Broadfoot.
    Wood.
    Mattock.
    Frecks.
    Smallwood.
    Forde
    Vaulks
    Caskey
    D ward.

    Bench (struggle for 6)
    Thorpe .
    Yates .
    McLaughlin (if we keep him).
    Halford. (If fit)
    Newell (if fit)
    Keeper

I think if Grant Ward was coming back to our club he would / should have been signed up by now.

Will Keane did nothing on loan at Wednesday's or Preston.
When Wednesdays played Preston last season Keane played alongside Stevie May. Both of them were substituted just after halftime. Man Utd want £1M pound for Keane, he's recently had a groin op so perhaps would fit in well with our club.

Watmore, would Sunderland allow him out on loan ?

    Jerry Yates it is then.
