Without more firepower, best we can hope for is a draw - struggle to see past an away win as things stand...

Win lose or draw the real winners are the likes of ourselves and Burton, playing at the same level as clubs with budgets that dwarf ours.
This is simply about money. See how these so called massive clubs would perform on our budgets.

What Rotherham have achieved is remarkable and all I can say to my fellow fans is simply " enjoy it win lose or draw" and you never know, as has been the case so many times before, we might just give a few of them a bloody nose.

Narandee, I would have thought you being a member since 2009 on here you would know......

Posts of such a positive nature are not tolerated on here.

    Remember, we're sh1t.

Our chairman is a tight fisted Yorkshire man who hasn't got a clue.

Most of our players are not championship quality, this is despite the fact we've sustained championship status the last 2 seasons.

We should be signing players costing a million quid plus at least and paying these players 10-15000 a week.

These are not the good times finishing 4th bottom in what's widely considered the 5th most competitive league in World Football. Odd considering most of the time over the last 40 years we've been in the bottom 2 divisions and been extremely close to going bust/extinct 3 TIMES.

Finally and in some ways most importantly. Anyone on here agreeing with any of my post are considered "blind optimists". This is despite the fact the doom and gloom predictors have consistently been getting things wrong throughout Tony Stewarts entire tenure.

Firstly it was the stadium will never be built, taking the p1ss out of TS when he talked about plans/meetings accusing him of talking ballix.

Then it was, he's dropped a reet knacker giving Steve Evans the job, despite this Stevie managed a double promotion and successfully kept us in the Championship. However some people still did and do question the job he did for us, ha ha.

Well I'm off to watch some of my DVDs of games from our golden era. Macclesfield v The Millers from not so long ago.

    Aahhh those were the days!!!!

Its a good true post that rileyev, with a bit of sarcasm thrown in...and the bit about evans makes me laugh too..i actually know someone who questions evans achievements..#*@**#..the mind boggles..even if you didnt like the man how can you judge his achievements...but back to your post...we all know about the bad times..and i think every fan is grateful for what t.s.has done for us..they also know we cant compete in wages..but you cant mess about like we're doing in this league..weve no matt derbyshire to run the channels and no grant ward..weve still got no pace at the back and away from home we're gonna get murdered in some games..stand still in this league and theres only one outcome..

Looking at the squad and what players are available, assuming that Belaid,Newell and JCH are out,the team picks itself in some areas like defence and attack, but midfield is interesting with lots of combinations available. We will certainly be very competetive in midfield, think we might surprise one or two.

God I've missed NYS, fans leaving early (even when we are winning) booing players, shouting at the bench to get Greeny/Collins off (who will it be this season?)

Oh and let's not forget the man with the Mike (useless)

Also can't wait to come on here after the game to say it as I see it and get abused
