Sounds like a tight, tight game. Fingers crossed on this one.

I had a feeling before the game that is was never going to be a classic. The draw was a fair result in my eyes and it also sent out a 'welcome to the championship' message to Walter Zenga. Ipswich are a well organised side and MCarthy's side were a well drilled outfit on the night.

McCarthy's Ipswich won virtually every 50/50 encounter, pounced on ever second ball and it's no thrills approach. Every loose ball and one of his players pounced. A long throw is also part of their game, where they always get the big men forward. Slowing down the game, delaying tactics when Ikeme tried to kick out of his hands, as i say, all part of a McCarthy side.

I think both sides had decent chances to win the game, for Wolves, the Bodvarsson penalty, the Ipswich keeper did well in the build up to it, continually moving from side to side on his line, he also saved well to deny the Wolves forward. Chances also for Teixeira and Costa in the second half.

The visitors with a Berra header and Murphy's disallowed effort, coupled with a couple of shaky moments from Ikeme in the second half, his handling wasn't good, Batth came to his rescue with one of them. It's a point against a tough opponent.

I think for a few Wolves players the number of games in a short space of time has took it's toll, but other teams up and down the Country have the same schedule.

Typical anti-football from our former madman. Not the end of the world- onto the next one.
