I felt changes were needed at half time and by delaying bringing on Lowe and Jones we surrendered all territory to them. (Saunders glaring miss notwithstanding) What a shame to force extra time then lose. The worst of all worlds!
Opinions eh?! Just shows how we can see the same game in such a different way. I honestly don't think any of those players listed were playing poorly. So Blackburn 'never really looked like losing' after scoring one? But Cooper hit the post, and their keeper made a couple of good saves, including the one from Saunders - hardly a 'glaring miss'!! Saunders caught it sweetly, considering the pace of the cross, and the defenders closing in on him. Was their player guilty of a 'glaring miss' when Garratt made an equally fine reflex save?
