Come back from holiday to see we've sold our highest rated midfielder and loaned out our top goal scorer. So I've not got much to say other than to see how we look on Saturday.

I did used to enjoy reading it with it's comments but now it's not even worth logging on as no one replies to any posts. I think even Rattea could post to say Clough was rubbish, McClaren was the best manager we ever had and Hughes is a world beater but no one would bother to reply. I hope the Rams don't start suffering the same support. So nice to have read your comments over the years Roger and farewell too.

The Brexit thread was the only activity for most of the past months and lets face it IF it wasnt anyones cup of tea they weren't forced to join in.

Since the last upgrade, we lost a fair few posters, these things are cyclical but I sense footymad has had its day even Ratty hardly ever posts these days, there may be more interest when the league kicks in again but gone are the days when there were 30 or so active posters.

If you really have signed off Rog, then adieu, your witty bon mots were amusing, your pedantry a little obsessive but overall a class contributor!

I,m very busy making money out of Brexit but usually glance each day but unless theres something worth saying don't bother to post.

A lot of online forums have been ruined because of the "report" button imo, too many people nowadays are quick to report people for the most trivial things, I've just been banned off the dcfcfans.uk forum because of posts I made about Chris Martin, it was my opinion but 2 or 3 posters took offence and that was that .. The betfair forum was amazing 10 years ago, used to get 100s of active posters on the horse racing forum, today there's about 3 or 4, its a lot of different reasons, but this "can't say this, can't say that" mentality has absolutely ruined online forums, political correctness and all that.. not saying its the case on this website but online forums are being ruined by the aforementioned. I think its a case of people being banned of various sites and losing the appetite for it, I know being banned off dcfcfans.uk for next to nothing has done my f****** head in.

Dcfc. Know what you mean but must say this site is pretty tolerant I've had quite a few bans mainly the Burnley and Forest sites but its not a problem just sign up using a different username and Email address simple

There's one mod who is not tolerant of people who criticise his views and bans on that basis (done it twice to me and to loads of others). That's a really good draw for a messageboard and there's no reason to put up with it. The other mods are spineless and turn a blind eye.

Still, his record number of posts looks secure - a big fish in the tiniest pool.
