No-one connecetd with any organisation affiliated with Celtic touched him, so tell us all, in your own words:
Why, exactly, is it unbelievable that Alan Brazil "still loves the club"?

I'll get the 'tumbleweed' gif ready...

The organisation that Torbett was in charge of was not affiliated in any way with Celtic football club.
I'm not sure how much clearer I can make this.

The Only Official Celtic Boys Club

The Celtic Boys Club was formed in 1966 with the simple aim of providing youngsters in Glasgow with the opportunity to take part in organised games of football. The club prides itself in the success of its alumni both in sports as well as their personal lives. Its place in the community remains a well respected community club.

The Celtic Boys Club is a non-profit organisation that solely relies on efforts from volunteers with an interest in football. Its coaches are strongly encouraged to take up all necessary SFA coaching to help better develop the youngsters under their supervision.

The club adheres to a code of conduct and expects all involved in its activities to abide by it. It has set a Code of Practice and Vetting Procedures for Staff and Volunteers working with Children and Young People under 18 years of age.

Although an independent organisation in its own right, The Boys Club has a long and proud association with Celtic Football Club which has proved of mutual benefit over the years.

“nothing had been substantiated at the time”

Er, isn’t that the police’s job. To substantiate or otherwise, things that are brought to their attention.

“Shouldn't be used for TFT on here.”

Funny that, the yahoos use all sorts of things for TFT on here. Suddenly there are certain things that are out of bounds. Wonder why.

Police had a shocking attitude to handling child abuse at the time. Most victims never said anything and if they did they weren't believed or dismissed by police.

If you want to play in the gutter Rangers fans had a banner last weekend claiming no children had been harmed at their club. I am not sure Sheriff James Irvine Smith agrees. Do you want to have an open discussion on that? or are things like this better kept away from TFT?

Correct. But if the case had been handed to them and they had bungled it, then the blame would have been theirs.

Without the clear child protection policies clubs and employers now all have to have and clear systems in place from the police (lets remember there wasnt even a *** offenders register until 1997 - something Thatcher was always opposed) and when no child makes an allegation or complaint, going to the police is not something that was standard practice. You know that.

I see you side swept the Sheriff James Irvine Smith one.

There was no case you utter clown - no-one reported it until 1996
    Rumours and whispers...
And the phrase is "brought to book" not "brought to bear" you fkn idiot.
Beats me why you weirdos still get hard about this. It was 50 years ago.
Get over it. Lessons were learnt.
How is your tribute act of a club getting on by the way?

(I suppose a bunch of tards who are still banging their wee drums over events that happened over 300 years ago are going to be getting a very perverted sort of pleasure from the child abuse thing for a long time...Good luck with that.)
