Bugger! 0-1 after it sounded like we were getting a good grip on the game.

Sounds like we had a decent first half, only we missed our chances and they took theirs. Still 90 to come though. COMB!!!

What a difference a few days makes, eight changes made by Walter Zenga, i expected quite a few anyway. At any level of football it's all about taking the chances that come your way. The chance that Jed Wallace squandered at 0-0 was a big one with him one on one with the Newcastle keeper. Wolves were made to pay, Matt for Ritchie the first Newcastle goalscorer was a class above any player on the pitch, took his goal well, the goal was all about passing and moving into space. I can take nothing away from the second Newcastle second goal, they either go in, or fly right over the bar.

The difference between last night and Saturday's performance from a Wolves perspective was pressing, crisp passing and movement was missing. Wolves allowed the likes of Shelvey and Colback plenty of space and time on the ball to dictate the temp of the game.

2-0 may have been the final score, but chances for both sides, it could have ended up 5-2 to Newcastle United, Diame's chip that come back off the bar was the best chance for the home side in the second half, for Wolves, Ola John's chance was the closest Wolves came to scoring. There was one injury scare for him in the second half, but i'm glad he got back to his feet after a few minutes treatment. Ola John, very good with the ball at his feet, plenty of pace and looks a good prospect, had one chance, also a jinking run close to the end. Hopefully there will be more to come from him.

Two positives from the game, Silvio and Ola John, Silvio looks composed on the ball and likes to get forward, with better players around him and on his wavelength hopefully there's more to come from him.

If i was given the option of which game i'd like to see wolves win out the two games, it would have been the league game, which Wolves did. It's not nice losing, but that's the way it goes.

Cheap tickets last night and there was some over the top celebrations from the ****age Newcastle fans as we left the game, i managed to walk through it, but a few others not so lucky, coach one was delayed on the way back due to a a fan being struck with a bottle. Our coach was also hit by objects. Nothing broken, but i'm not going to tarnish all Newcastle fans with the same brush, Wolves fans are no angels. We had six on our coach that were a nightmare and also were a problem in the ground. Cheap tickets brings a certain element of fan to football.
