Apparently TS owns the Ground and the club leases it so isn't this the same as under Booth? Can someone set me straight on this please? If TS or his company owns the ground/stadium etc then won't RUFC always be open to huge rent increases even if TS sells the club which I realise is very unlikely.

Is this a normal transaction in football or do clubs no longer own their own grounds these days?
Pete I hope you are well. The ground is owned by RU Estates, which is owned by AR Stewart. The club lease the ground, rent was just over £1m in 2014 and £600k for the 6 months in the accounting period in 2015. (They changed the year end, so only 6 months reported). Directors are AR Stewart R Stewart and the Company Secretary is Karen Thomas who is also finance director of ASD.

    Hi mate

I am on Twitter, though seem to miss more tweets than I should

I have seen the accounts and can remember being disappointed when the accounting date had been altered. Thought we had a real chance of progressing but our finances are light years away from a sustainable membership of the Championship .

I do think however that the complete destruction of the L1 winning team was a huge mistake. Had we retained most of those players and built on that squad rather than wasting so much money on so many players and managers we would not be in this position. We need football people to manage the club.
