Personally, I think the Burton owner has acted with great dignity here. I don't think the same can be said about Clough. With different owners and a more stable situation, you can see the attraction of the forest job for him. But it was obvious to every man and his dog, the mess the club is in. So does that mean that Clough will be off when the next half decent job becomes available?

Quite probably would be off yes, although quite how suitable he would be for another half decent job is a moot point, and can you blame him? Owners dispose of managers with the slightest excuse, so why should managers owe any more loyalty to the employer than their employer shows to them? Same with players: loyalty means nothing in a dog eat dog world of freedom of contract

And now their looking to add Ross McCormacks wages to the pot lol

Villa can't get shot of him quick enough either hahaha, so Forest will have him lol

You lot are in such a mess and he's looking to add a player who's 32 and on 40k a week to the ever growing mess.

You lot need to get shot of him and quick.

Having failed to get Nigel, Forest are now after Zach Clough from Bolton. Seems like a case of 'any Clough in a storm' but actually - at around £2m - he might be quite a shrewd signing. Not sure how circumstances allow them to talk of buying Clough and paying McCormack's wages.

You're probably right. We don't have all our eggs in one basket. Much more interesting that way. That said we could and probably will end above you this season. Steve McClaren sides are perfectly capable of going on a no win run for a few games.

Who knows how much of McCormack's wages we are paying. It could be related to the Lansbury deal, or might be even down to Gary Brazil knowing Colin Calderwood from their day's at Forest.
