Surely the OP has a point; the 2 loanees we've brought in are not going to save our season are they? they're unproven youth players from teams not much further up the ladder than us. Totally pointless imo.

And if a minor mircale occurs and either player has a career defining purple patch for the remainder of the season, does anyone think we'd have a cat in hells chance of signing them permanently? No, so as the OP says we may as play our own and hope for the same minor miracle, at least then there is an upside.
