Are they afraid of retribution? Do liberals fear the threat of violence or terrorist attacks if they speak out against Muslims? There just doesn't seem to be any cohesion to their ideas.

So often the liberals will go for the jugular when talking about Christianity, but this is because they know Christians will not respond with threats of violence and intimidation, which incidentally shows how tolerant Christianity is.

I am just wondering if any of them actually have the b alls to tackle the issues they claim to care about or are they just going to ignore these issues and stick the boot into meek old ladies who make jam for the local church fundraiser?

Is your typical white middle class social worker/ community worker/ LGBT counsellor/ afraid to speak out against the aforementioned issues because they will fear the cold shoulder from their Muslim co-workers?

This is a genuine enquiry as I think I might join those who support equality and diversity if they can clarify their stance.

    Christianity tolerant? Yes and No

the phrase "White Christian Anglo Saxon" mean anything to you?

My arguement is that those people are in the wrong. Anyone who believes something objectively harmful or wrong should have that view challenged if humans are to continue our advancement.

At University I was a nightmare for it, I'd occasionally get into deep religious debates with taxi drivers on the journey home at the end of the night. As much as I was probably being quite obnoxious to someone just doing their job, it was always surprisingly well recieved.

It all depends how you approach it too, articulating a reasoned view and just poking fun at peoples beliefs are completely different activities. Sometimes the latter can be fun, but I'd only do that where I thought the individual was trying to promote their agenda, like old IBS and his primitive, holier than thou worldview.

Debate is great but some are less able to debate so turn it into other things. To have something explained depends on the view point of the one explaining which won't be to everyones liking so extreme views will arrise.

It's because they're mostly brown and therefore immune from criticism.

In their worldview (gained from studying Sociology and Feminist Studies at university in many cases) hetero***ual white men are to blame for everything bad in the world (the fact that the same people mostly built the modern world is ignored, or maybe that's why they hate them.)

Even though i was confirmed at 16 by the bishop of Sheffield to be a christian at Swinton Church i do not see myself as a christian .Although i do believe there is something after death . Religion in all forms only causes hate and hate causes wars .You only have to look at Israel,Iraq,Syria and Bosnia and Croatia in the past to see my point. I am the type of guy who will not dismiss somebody for the beliefs and would happily converse with a individual about there religion .Do you think if we all followed the same Idol,God or whatever wars would stop ? I do not, people will always find something to argue about.

For the starter of this thread to say on other thread (paraphrasing) that transgendered kids expressing themselves should be "slapped" back into the closet, can finger wag at muslims having backward views, (which is often not the case) on ***ual/ gender expression etc, is shear hypocrisy.
