No offence taken Chalky,I still haven't got over our cup exit and your 1-0 forecast..Just me being a Cnut

Keswick's a great choice Chalky. Beware though, it's a gamble whether the ospreys will have returned from West Africa to Bassenthwaite by then. Some of them do a European tour (they're tracked) before coming over to Wales, Cumbria and Scotland. Have a look on Ospreywatch (Lake District Osprey Project) to see how they're progressing. The missus and I will happily show you up to the Lookout point in Dodd Wood where you stand a reasonable chance of seeing red squirrels too. Never any guarantees though. You don't get close to the ospreys but they provide optics so you can look over to the nesting site.

Cheers Griff, there is some really good advice there and shall go onto ospreywatch site later tonight just for a look, the ospreys would be a bonus but if I was to catch sight if a red squirrel and three points away then the journey would have been worth it,got a couple of b+bs eyed up that's only a short walk from the ground but not booking until nearer just in case the weather is really bad,it will be the only thing that will stop me from making the journey, really looking forward to it as I've never visited Carlisle, I will probably make my own way up to Keswick as I don't really make plans,I just get in the car and see when and where I end up,thanks for the offer though, its very generous of you and much appreciated

    1. Don't come without at least saying hello Chalky. I'm hanging about outside the ground before the game most matchdays.

    2. You'll have better chance of seeing our rare ospreys or extremely shy squirrels than getting three points.

Check Facebook for Ospreywatch - it's the easiest way and gets updated in real time.

I can't seem to get fb up anymore since I deleted my account last year but I will have a look the next time that up at my sisters,I will probably won't come up to say hello on the 8th Griff as I've mentioned before on here i rarely meet up with people who i have spoken to on forums,i would just feel embarrassed and then feel worst about going through with it,it gets like a vicious circle but thanks for the offer,I'm pretty much a loner in life and like i said to others its nothing personal

Well what can I say,it turns out that I've already booked the weekend of 8th April off due to a wedding that I had forgotten about so I'm unable to go to the game (unless the happy couple call it off) but I have been looking forward to visiting both Carlisle and Keswick so I've decided to still go ahead with the trip but sometime in the next two weeks as I've got some spare hols left that's got to be used before April 1st

Tell her he's been sleeping around. That'll do it.
