Glad to hear you don't leave early as too many do. To me, leaving early is literally turning your back on the team. What could cause any greater sense of negativity and apathy than seeing a ground empty as a shot goes wide or a pass is misplaced.

That wasn't football last night Steve...that was bollux. The only people to emerge with any credit, Burton fans apart, were the tireless Keogh and to a lesser extent Ince - dreadful corners apart - Hughes and Anya who for some reason you saw fit to take off.
I honestly can't remember feeling more disillusioned about Derby's prospects than I do at the moment. Even the so called young and hungry Max Lowe looked disinterested and lost. There are, I think, another six home matches left this season. They're now totally meaningless and to attend them all would, including other outgoings, cost at least £200. Fortunately I'll be out of the country for many of them but I've got to the point where if many of the players don't appear bothered why should I make an effort? Judging by the huge number of seats that began emptying with ten minutes to go there are plenty of others thinking much the same. Make no mistake, in terms of where we go from here...it's crisis time.

I know what you mean Fishing Rod, but I'm not sure I entirely agree. Yesterday I left home at 6.15 got back at just before 11.00, drove a round trip of about fifty miles and contributed £25 to the Derby County coffers. One of the group I went with left work at 4.15 and after a round trip of a little under 200 miles got home about 11.30. What we saw and paid money to watch was utter rubbish and left me feeling totally demoralised with football and Derby County. In the last ten days, during which time some players will have 'earned' around £50k, many fans will have spent £75 or so on watching complete tripe. I don't like the idea of 'abandoning' the team but I do understand those who left early in such great numbers either out of 'protest' or frustration. Ultimately the players have to earn our support and last night about four of them looked interested.

Do you think the players were pissed off with our throwing the FA Cup tie v Leicester?

Bit strong KCG...we 'rested' some players knowing that we had more important matches coming up and knowing that Leicester were fielding a much more weakened side. It backfired...for both clubs...but I don't think anything was 'thrown'.

Wonder why Keogh is never 'rested'...he's as crucial as anyone to us but must have started close to every game this season. His choice or the managers?

By heck your still in the land of the living OTR! Good to hear from you. Aye I'm also glad I don't have an ST, still i guess its all aprt of the joy of following your local club, some ups but more downs!

Realistically we should be able to regroup and go again next season, will McClaren achieve promotion, not so sure he will, I'm lukewarm on his return even though I thought he should not have been sacked, I fear getting rid of Clement was big mistake by Mel, and thus far that has been the case, we were 5th when he was sacked, now we are worse off and frankly playing the "Derby Way" hasn't been a feature!
