Don't want him. 29 next no. Haven't we learned from Blackstock. Especially up front younger legs needed. Not saying pampered prem' loanies but with abit of experience but not here for early retirement.

At that age he should be in his prime and worth a 2 year contract but he'll probably be way out of our price range anyway.

I sometimes wonder if you actually watch football?
21 goals in the league we are playing in next year and you don't want him.
Like mellow says coming into his prime.

    Shakes his head in disbelief

At the start of the season I started a thread all on its own about signing him on a free.

But got shot down in flames

Yes watch football. Don't want him. Free [ not in wages ] possibly for a season. If he's that good why is he in league 1? I want players who can step up if we're going to give them a min' of a 2 yr contract.

According to my mate a couple of league 1 clubs have put bids on for him.

Could one of them be the mighty millers?

Wouldn't be one for the long term but if he's gonna get us 20 plus goals for the next couple of seasons then it's a yes from me. I wouldn't get my hopes up though even if we have bidded for him because we're all mouth and not much action nowadays.

Decent strike rate over his career.

    Don't understand the age thing?

Slightly older than Smallwood, but younger than Frecklington.

Good acquisition at the right price.

Some sensible posts on this from pocket and several others. Then I read the contributions from our resident from the planet Zog. These comments are wrong in so many particulars that I may no longer follow your horseracing tips.
