All good runs have to come to an end, but for me not in the manner in which Wolves lost today. Bristol City fully deserved their victory. I think the game would have been a different one if Dicko had put his chance away early on when through on goal.

I'm all for any youngster to be given a chance in games, but i do feel Gibbs-White could have started on the bench today. Wolves returned to the type of form and performance seen before the six match unbeaten run. Wolves looked half-hearted in their approach and build up play, resorting to the good old long ball down field. Bristol City in contrast looked good on the ball and without it never gave any Wolves players a minute to settle.

The opening goal for the home side is another where praise goes to the scorer Paterson, but i'm critical of the failure by the Wolves players in not getting close enough. The penalty was always going to be given against Doherty, the player never made any real attempt for the ball, and in the modern era, players go over too easy.

Two goals down at the break, i wanted to see a reaction, we didn't get one. game killed off with Abraham's second, but again, another goal that could've been prevented. Wolves were actually on the attack, Doherty in the Bristol City penalty area, looking to cross the ball, but completely missed the ball. A quick from the home side and Abraham couldn't miss.

The introduction of both Cavaleiro and Bodvarsson gave Wolves a lift. Cavaleiro will probably think he could've done better with the two chances that came his way. He skied a free-kick and also an effort from distance. I'm glad Bodvarsson has finally ended his goal drought, it's a pity it's in a game where we have been soundly beaten.

It's easy to pick a few negatives upon defeat, it's how Wolves bounce back. Keeping the ball better has to be high up on the list.

I find it strange that the highlights don't include the early chance for Dicko.

Thanks for that Gav. Their first goal was a nice one, but the third, oh dear, the less said the better. The penalty looked a bit harsh, did you get a decent look at it?

i was in the far right hand corner, i could see the incident, but not the view that the ref got. I felt at the time that Doherty didn't do enough to get the ball and made the ref's mind up for him over the decision. A soft penalty, yes, but minimal contact nowadays means a penalty is usually awarded.

The third goalhe video doesn't show the part Doherty played in losing the ball in the Bristol City penalty area.
