An easy way to stop players rolling about on the floor feigning injury is to add double the time on. A player goes down for one minute, the referee adds two minutes. Simples. Watch it disappear with that rule. It will never happen though.

The only problem to this is that losing teams would be forever on the floor to gain extra time.

As for diving the only way to sort that is to deduct points. Even mega rich clubs can't stand the deduction of points, so who is going to play a diver ?

I also actually think the one-shot penalty is a good idea, and Im not against ideas being looked at and discussed if they are meant to be for the good of the game. But this idea of scrapping the two 45 minutes halves is appalling.

Cynical ploy to bring more advertising revenue into an already ruined (by money) game. This will end up with time outs, challenges to rulings, etc, etc. NFL games are an hour but take 3 and a half to get through. The diving, general cheating, arguing/bullying the ref, blatant time wasting and outlawing the tackle should be dealt with before oil locking around with how long a half should last.
