Ok, so enlighten me. Would you agree that the attack last night against a "group" of people was targeted against that "group". I wont use the term "race" because you think I am misusing that term.

The only consistency is the desire for some folks (and many in the media) to dictate how we think, how we feel and how we should react to these incidents.

The drip, drip, drip of brainwashing.

Free original thought and reaction doesn't get a chance.

If the BBC are brainwashing us to be more fair minded and tolerant, I can live with that Grist. I am assuming that you are really not interested or care about what happened last night from your tone which sort of says a lot about the kind of person you are. I would love you to tell me I was wrong and being unfair to you....

    QED

There you go, you're only asking my opinion so you can try to impose your way of thinking.

You assume I'm thinking in opposition to you, well I might be, or I might not be.

It's not your position and certainly not the BBC position to try to impose a set way of thinking even if it is disguised as being "fair minded and tolerant"

roly, elsewhere today you have described yourself as "reasonable" and now also clearly think you're fair-minded and tolerant. Well you aren't. Your attack on grist was out of order.
I restate my ealier point. You had very little to say on threads about earlier terror attacks carried out by Muslims except as usual to get on a high horse and tell another poster that we need to be calm in the face of these attacks and not rush to judgement.
Yet, here, you dive in demanding harsh penalties for the murdering, racist scum responsible. Consistency is obviously not your strong suit.

You have misread my posts Monty and I am happy to state AGAIN that ALL acts of terrorism are wrong whoever carries them out. a murderer is a murderer.

Grist is Grist a silly old narrow minded Tory stuck in his ways. He doesn't want to be "brainwashed" into changing by me or anyone else for that matter which sort of begs the question why bother coming on a discussion forum like this. Also I am bit surprised that you defend Grist when he has shown little interest in getting to the bottom of the Grenfell tower disaster which is something YOU obviously feel strongly about.

    That's his choice I suppose...

To honest it was only a matter of time before another nutjob attacked a MOSQUE . All that will do is stir up more hatred. I expect Muslims will now be marching on mass to protest. Racial tensions now will be at boiling point in London .More Muslim only go areas .And more attacks .

The brain dead idiots who do things like this just play into the hands of Islamic terrorists Pokers. ISIS must be laughing their socks off at this. It is exactly what they want. The sad thing for me, is that the Grenfell tower disaster highlighted how people from all nationalities and cultures can pull together in a positive way. This sort of stuff just serves to undo it...

"This sort of stuff just serves to undo it..."

    But it won't !

The Grenfell tower is a microcosm of the world - NOT only London - and the human race took a mighty blow - but the human race united together.....

The "losers" that do this sh!t is a percentage of the population that in mathematical terms is insignificant.

Terror works because the "cover" of these "insignificant" individuals is totally out of proportion to the perpetrators.

    THAT'S WHY TERRORISM EXISTS !

Justification of such acts is a rather large can of worms and is purely subjective!
