Nowhere near ready when he came to us, not seen him play since he left us but he must have improved

Whatever he was and now is like, your track record with young players is impressive, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him do well for you as and when he's deemed ready for first team action

Thanks for the comments guys , much appreciated .

He's 24 now so after earning a pile of money at Man Utd , Spurs and Palace he needs to knuckle down and play some games .

He'll get his chance with us and the rest is up to him I guess .

My gut feeling is too much money too soon and he thought he'd made it when he actually hadn't .

Down to hunger and desire as to whether he proves to be a success or not .

    Thanks again guys .

Can't have been that good cos I can't even remember him.

Doesn't mean anything cos we've had a few kids fail at NYS/Millmoor/DVS and then go on to play at a higher level even in the premier league. Grant Leadbeater for one.

    Good luck with him.

Doesnt sound too good does it Animal, and these comments about him on here are the nice ones.
Hes 24 now though and hes got the background at least, some Prem clubs obviously thought he was ok. (but no better than ok it seems)
Is he any better than Yids, it looks like hes going to be his replacement.

Not an exact science football is it acido , look at that young Arsenal so called wonder kid we had on loan a couple of years ago , absolute pants .

Remember the young John Walters on loan about 12 years back , he was carp but look how he kicked on .

You just don't know do you till they start playing .

animal, I think you might be right about Fryers thinking he'd made it when he was younger and it's probably make or break time for him now.
He's quite a big unit as I recall and was pretty quick going forward so, if his attitude has improved he may turn out to be a useful addition to your squad.
    Be reight........😀

He was young and trying to show off NOT "DO A JOB" ! ....He'd be fine in a settled side and then he wouldn't have to go OTT to impress scouts about his "Potential".

He wanted to stand out and that's one reason premier league loans sometimes don't work.......
.........IZZY was grounded and his Chelsea boss supported him and he came here to do a specific job that he fancied ( and a key - first on sheet managers assurance here ). They need a little lovin !

Most are just slumming and that showed a little with several of our premier - loans.....( Liverpool lad who tried to lob keeper from miles out ) forgot the knobs name.....Probably on 3 mill / week now...lol

It helps to have a manager that they could look up to and learn from. Keep them grounded.

At his age - with new Palace manager he's looking for a regular place in a championship side....he'll be immense - all the attributes required.....this time he means it - he didn't with us !

    500 k plus sell ons - right player....or

3 pints of Barnsley Bitter will sort it.

Released and signed - brilliant signing and perfect age....hope he likes Barnsley Bitter....good business - and sell on value if you just keep him fit....thought initially it was loan then sale due to new manager - thought new man would want a pre-season with him before he showed him the door.

Exactly what we SHOULD be doing right now.....sigh....
