In defence of this forum

What I have always looked for in a footie messageboard is entertainment fun and the chance to interact with fans of Burnley in Burnley and all over the world. I am happy to discuss footie with fans of other clubs and enjoy it when we can discuss stuff other than footie.

What I am not interested in is statistics, arsyness politics, religion and griping for the sake of it.

I accept that some people are so I avoid those topics. If someone wants to discuss Fantasy Football, start a thread and discuss it. Just don't be an arse and knock what other people want to post/discuss.

my take is that i am not too happy with posters coming on here from other clubs- this is a site for Burnley fans to talk about their club Burnley and is not a general football forum . Their are plenty of them out there but this is a Burnley FC site or it would not be called The Turfites- not a great choice of name but there you have it.

I qiuite like it when other fans come on for a bit of banter,I visit quite a few other sites for the banter.. Never had a problem mostly..

the leeds fan is clearly not one for friendly banter and it could all get nasty- which is why i dont like fans of other teams coming on here- if it were my call i would ban them all and suggest they go to a generalfiirball siite mot specific to one particular club

I've never really got into this banter on forums with other fans. It seems like you have to insult each other but if it is considered ok by both set of fans then it'll do me.

I think most of the other teams' fans who come on know one or more of our posters from the past. As long as it doesn't become a clique and anybody can join in them I'm happy with that. I might even join in myself , even if we are the superior team and really shouldn't mix with small club fans 😃

If you mean The Rev,he is one of the best and funniest posters on footymad ,he will give as much as he gets.. along with George.. Fair play to them both.. Good lads
