Good lad is Tom, I have watched his development through the system with the Youth team and never saw him have a bad game.
Having said that, it is certainly a very hard world for any young player at any PL club. They are rarely going to get a chance to fully develop, look at Jack Cork and Nathan Chalobah at Chelsea and Kieran Trippier and Ben Mee at Man City. Two of those have gained international recognition at senior level but have had to move to do it.

Agyei going out on loan and Wells coming in epitomises your point exactly...

To be fair to Tom, my comment wasn't personal. Just think we need more at PL level, in case of injury to Mee or Tarkowski.

I agree BT, no nippy winger, no marquee centre-back, we could do with a back-up CB, but I don't expect one now.

Seems we're near bottom of the spending league so far
It feels like we've done a lot of good business though and still in profit.

Thought we had sold Keane for £30m, and Andre for £18.5m plus a few small sales. That's more than £42M so must be £7m in sell on clauses add on and agent fee.

Many players being touted for Burnley, and maybe a few leaving ? Barnes for one hitting some media outlets.

Whether you like any of the one's being said to be wanted by Burnley or not, its the last day and here we are again needing a couple of players to complete our package.

Many excuses I know with chains having to link up, work permits, wages, outrages fees, and the old one, don't worry the next window will come around soon.

If you believe the media we have been linked with Andone, Waris, Gayle, a Milan forward and all the rest and seemingly going for a busy exciting Romanian Striker in Spain (Andone) at over 20 odd Million to Wells at £5 Million and not even fit.

Even reports of Gabriel Barbosa coming but could not get a work permit and Grositski maybe becoming a Claret.

It should not come down to the last day IMO, but it has and I'm left wondering if we are in for any surprises in the happy column, hope so but looking like the unhappy feeling is imminent, hope I'm wrong.

It's the last day of the sale for some clubs and possible bargain to be had as they try to get funds to buy their desired players. Cheeky bids may be accepted and we are good at those!!!

Brighton and Burnley have reportedly both made bids for Porto striker Moussa Marega. Both refused. They offered £12m to our £10M
