The guy is a dick, isn't he also corrupt?
However, Pboro is definitely right that he was throwing his hat in the ring should the job become available.
As to the question - would i have him back. No, no i wouldn't. Didn't like the football and don't think he'll do any better, plus after this he'll be seen as even worse puppet that Pardew. Do i think Ashley would hire him again, yes i do if he plays on his getting most out of cheaper players.
However i also don't think Rafa will go.
You must be joking,Derby won ONE game all season,Fat Sam sent a very defensive team there ,one long range shot from them went in and we couldn't come back from it.If I remember right Derby also got a point at SJP and they went down with a lower points total than the Mackems previous record.
Derby hold the record for the lowest ever points total going down with 11 points 4 of them from Sams Toon side, they also hold the record for lowest wins in a season, one, again against Fat Sams side.
Yeah he is deffo making the right noises backing Ashley and his spending policy and i think Ashley mentioned he got rid of FSam too quickly. Both blowing each others pink oboe by the sounds of it.
I think Ashley would love Rafa to leave , esp with a £6m pay off .. that would pay the next manager for a a couple of years at least.
As things stand its a very unhealthy relationship between owner and manager and there can only be one winner.
If rafa could go for a lot less he would be gone by now but £6m is huge for an individual to stump up, so he will be here until a team buys his contract or he gets the heave ho.
Managing for Ashley is certainly not a job for a man with principals or ambition thats a fact.
The only difference being that most of Rafa's record was from the second tier.
Even so if you do an analysis of Rafa's Premiership games only he is still far comparably superior to those other two buffoonish nerds.
On that basis I don't see anyone being so foolish as to compare the three managers.
On the other hand here's a comparison for you. Check what success each of the three has had in a lifetime's managerial career.
Pardew and Allardyce on the perforation of a postage stamp, and Rafa, well pages of achievements.
They do say " If ignorance is bliss then it's folly to be wise"
But a balance of that is that Big Fat sam and Pardew had us playing in the top flight but with a 2nd tier style of football and tactics.
