    there is serious interest in takeovers (not from China as some would have you believe). but Ashley doesn't really want to give up his advertising board unless it's too good to be true.

    I won't hold my breath, but there is a little hope.

    They were saying somewhere he might try a deal where he retains some hoardings etc. but that then makes it very complicated deal wise.

    he will almost certainly want to retain advertising and / or merchandise rights.
    he won't give up his freebies easily.

    lets face it 280 mill for a club when players are going for 150 million plus is cheap

    That includes the debt plus aproximately another 100 mill profit for his back pocket to spend at the casino

    Shepherd and his co-owners made a bigger increase of profit on their investment when selling to Ashley than ever Ashley would dare dream of.
