I expected the responses of let them go and form a European super league but, I don't agree with that view.

I think if they went there will always be clubs like leeds and leicester who overspend recklessly and win stuff whilst others, like us, are run prudently.

Not so long ago Chelsea and citeh were yo yo clubs, look at them now.

There is no reason why that couldn't happen to us in the future.

I also think our attendances would suffer as more reliance on gate receipts ( due to a very low tv deal) will mean much higher prices.

In essence I don't want a split. I hated it when Man utd dropped out of the fa cup for one season. Basically, I don't just want to be in with a chance of winning stuff if the best aren't there.

In an odd sort of way, I have already discounted the top 6/7. I will be criticised for having low ambitions, but realistically success for me is finishing 8th...or as close to it as possible.
Notwithstanding, I will enjoy watching our endeavours against the top echelon teams, and do believe that we may just steal a few points off them.

Why don't the non top 6 ask for the motion to be flipped, giving more money to the lower places. The top six already get their Euro money, plus extra money for the games that are on every week.

I have to admit that I have always been against a European Super League but since this latest bid by the 'money men' to grab even more I think that I am now in favour. The top six are way ahead of the rest as it is and if this latest money grabbing venture comes to fruition it will be pointless for the rest of us to try and compete. Why Leicester and West Ham are in favour is beyond me.

On a different issue, I can't see many away fans attending games through finances so I envisage it will be more difficult playing away with so little support.

Many have been saying for a long time that money will eventually ruin the game; this could be the tipping point!

Can’t see why you are so worried BB. There are regularly 5 or 6 games each week in the Championship now with gates over 25,000 and I cannot see why gates will not hold up post any defection of the big clubs to a European league. As soon as you get better competition and less fear then potentially gates can and do improve.

The main ones who would suffer in my opinion are the overpaid PL players, Managers and agents who potentially would have to accept lower wages.

I can’t see why higher prices to watch have to be a result of a European league and logically if anything they ought to go down although I accept that is unlikely.

If the rewards are less for winning then there will be less incentive for clubs to overstretch themselves. Even if they do the league should be able to self regulate that aspect if they really wanted to.

For me the best thing that could happen for football, and ultimately is inevitable given the greed of the big boys, is a move to a European league. Bring it on and sooner rather than later.

No decision made, further talk, hope the clubs stand their ground against the so called top 6 and wanabees.
For a Euro super league of 20, how many places for the English teams a max of 4 , I reckon.
Out of the 9 greedy b@stards at least 5 will miss out.

Not enough support for a vote to take place yesterday but, the issue will be discussed again next month, which can only mean that the nefarious nine are going to try some threatening tactics to get their own way.
