Before he got injured I was impressed with Jono’s speed power and footwork but he was injured for most of the season and is no where near as good as he was never mind improve himself. He’s started to drop to ground as soon as he’s touched and I still don’t get how he could miss the net when the only guy in front was keeper.

Even if Yates manages to get some leg strength on him he’s lacking experience and won’t be a main player for us at this rate until next season at least that being said I believe he will be a star for us one day and let’s not forget he’s scored one goal more than Jono this year.

Baily king is far from ready he has speed and ball control but as a winger his crossing is terrible.

Don't hear anyone echoing anything you ever say...

I don't think you understand that nobody is saying Bailey-King won't be good for us eventually, I really hope he will be, but as I've only seen him play in a meaningless end of season game for 15 minutes where he looked promising but VERY raw, I haven't a clue, nobody does, and you don't either, You aren't an expert talent spottet, you're just taking a wild guess as you always do. It'd be insane be pinning our hopes on a kid who nobody has seen play properly yet. The same with Wiles, I was very impressed on Tuesday but nobody in their right mind would consider starting him in the league yet.

As for Clarke-Harris, I'd love him to prove us all wrong, I thought after his end of seasons cameos he'd be a threat in this league, but in the friendly games, the cups starts, and coming on a sub he hasn't shown ANYTHING. The thing you say about him being a decent human being is just another weird guess that you admit you have nothing to base it on.

I'm not sure Yates will be good enough in the long term, but again, I really hope I'm wrong. But then again I wasn't saying he should be in the team before I'd seen him play.

I like Vaulks, he's a trier and you can't fault a player for that. I'll always cheer on a player who's giving his all but of the 4 midfield players, quality wise, he's the worst in my opinion. His passing isn't good at all. You've also suddenly gone quiet on him being the best right back at the club after he played a few games there?

I've always suspected that the character known as gwru was on a wind-up. This post convinces me even more...

Think there's something there with Yates, time will tell. Before his injury I've always thought JCH was going to be a really good player, I admit it's not looking great ATM, but I've seen before plenty of times with strikers either coming back from injury or starting at a new club looking awful and missing sitters until they get that first goal then they look a totally different player. Martin Butler springs to mind, he looked terrible before he scored his first, you could give countless examples. I'm not writing him off just yet because I know he's better than he currently looks, you can only give them so many chances though.

I'm not a wind-up. I'm just looking at players with the ability to give us that extra. Williams & Vaulks do at the moment. Bailey-King will, hope Johno does. Players like Forde & Yates will never have that ability. I've gone off Newell, he'll go missing when we're up against it.
