The focus is still getting rid of the fringe players who Rowett sees is not in the long term future of the club. You need a mixture of experience and youth to grind out good results on the pitch on a consistent basis and currently we only have experienced players in the squad.

I have zero confidence for the florest game with the players we have, we are going up against a young florest side whomay be starting to find their feeta little, esp with the passing style theyve implemented under Warburton, its been a good solid start for them imo, cant put a sequence together because its a relatively new mentality being bedded in,, but i guarantee theyll finish above us this season,, because sadly we have slow players with not much fight and only here for a final payday

Rowett does need time, this season needs to be a write off imo, get the deadwood out and building fir the future,, but giving new contracts to baird bent etc isnt filling me with great confidence tbh.

4/1 for florest to win on sunday is great value though, and ive had 30 quid on it happeneing to cushion the blow of a loss.

Suppose you're right when you said to give rowett a chance to mould a team in January . Maybe just me but can't see a team being created at the moment

Nothing is going to be created at this exact moment because that’s an unrealistic target. It’s a long term target that slightly started over the summer and will make more of a bigger process in January.

Vydra has played for Udinese in Calcio A and has also guided Watford to promotion to the PL from the Championship and has a vast experience playing in the PL with Watford as well so he is an experienced player.

Weimann has played in the PL with Aston Villa and has tons of PL experience.

Thorne also has PL experience playing for West Brom.

Lawrence again has PL experience with Leicester City

Wisdom with RB Salzburg, Norwich City in the PL, West Brom & Liverpool.

Winnall has FL experience with Barnsley, S****horpe & Sheffield Wednesday.

Bennett, Lowe & Hanson are the only three players from the youth development that has been in and out of the squad but hardly get a touch in the starting 11 but Bennett is the most experienced out of the other two having played a part in numerous Championship games and cup competitions to get some vast experience so he should have picked up a few pointers there.

Would like to see more youth players breaking through and making an appearance for themselves in the side.

So they're young...but have some experience. Isn't that what you wanted?

Might not all be first team choices but they're all match day squad regulars, Salopian, with the possible exception of Lowe and Hanson and the former certainly will be, imo, if he ever manages to stay injury free.
A fit Thorne, who I think is still only 24, and a fit Lowe (20) would both be almost guaranteed a starting place.

Have to laugh at the ones who say we need younger players They are the same ones if put kids in and lost a few matches would be on here in a flash demanding Rowetts head What youngsters did Newcastle and Brighton have last season Suppose it depends if you want promotion or not The most successful Championship manager is Warnock and he says you can't get promotion with kids

    I. Suppose what in saying is we haven't got a settled 11 and therefore can't get the best out of them as a team..though I think rowett came as a strong man manager and motivator to get the best out of average players. agree about Thorne I thought he could be a premier player but am surprised you said Lowe is the best left back at the club .not disagreeing just surprised

If you are calling late 20’s young for an outfield player then your sorely mistaken they fast approaching the retirement age of 30 or over for a GK mid 20’s is young and mid 30’s is in their prime and 40 and over retirement.

We have 3 youth prospects in the current squad with one getting the crack of the whip now and again being Bennett, Lowe close to coming back from injury and Hanson only seen him play once since he made his debut in the senior side.

They hardly cut a scratch on the starting 11 and questions must be answered: Are they doing enough work to give Rowett something to think about and put their name forward and get a shot in the starting 11? The answer is no

The scouting department needs to get their act together and questions must be answered as to why the player’s that they have recruited simply hasn’t been good enough to crack it.

Or to correct the grammar questions must be asked, given that if you dont know what the question is its hard to give an answer!
