Carter Vickers is still a very young kid thrust into a very,very demanding environment in a team that has an almost telepathic understanding.
Cut him some slack DB. He's younger than Brooks and playing in a position where a mistake costs us a goal. Not a position where showboating is fine.

I agree re;CCV Sean mi owd pal,he looks a very good prospect to me,someone at Stocky on Monday said he wasn't the finished article yet,well if he was he wunt be here.Motm for me was very difficult to choose,Couttsy,Duffy,Flecky,Enda,George and Leon were all brilliant.I notice DB knocked Jack half a mark for their goal,which i agree he was at fault for but dint knock our off for Leon missin a one on one,very very very interestin. Cut him some slack DB. He's younger than Brooks and playing in a position where a mistake costs us a goal. Not a position where showboating is fine.

I actually preferred him in that central role because he isn’t easily turned and does have some genuine pace to cover when needed.

He needs to work on his heading (distance and accuracy) but I think he’s coming along fine.

I’d give Billy and Duffy both 8 DB. Billy was well on his game for 7.5 plus .5 for the goal, and the Duffmeister would have been even higher except that having lumps kicked out of him took his toll a bit in the second half.

If Duffy was 10 years younger based on what we’ve seen this season so far we’d be talking about him as a possible England player. It’s hard to imagine how and why he’s never made it out of the lower leagues but he’s certainly enjoying it now he is. Maybe if somebody had taken a chance on him, he’s certainly a joy to watch in this form.

Duffy is like marmite with some of our fans no matter how well he plays some people will concentrate on the 1 or 2 passes that went astray and not focus on what he brings to the the team. Where would we be now in the league now if he had started the season in the first team. At Middlesbrough and Cardiff when he came on we instantly looked better and he should have been credited with an assist at Boro if the ref hadn't disallowed a perfectly good goal. Tactically against the Pigs CW got it right and left him on the bench but what an impact when he came on.

Noticed on Saturday he's started to take more set pieces, perfect free kick that Sharp nearly scored from. When he went off our level of performance immediately dropped because young Brooks could not match his work rate. Opposition teams target him and fans consistently identify him as the player that gave them the most trouble. The amount of work he puts into each game will eventually take its toll as the season progresses but his ability to find space is second to none in this division and he's a joy to watch at the moment.
