A few more wins and they'll be renaming the stands again.
word has it that there is an overwhealming stench of a mothball camphor cloud hanging over the custard bowl on matchdays of late

There were a few empty season tickets by me. Think that's down to changing matches for Sky.
I agree that ticket prices are too high for families in particular but this bit about "snacks and drinks" is indicative of the modern mind set with people.

When my old man took me to football we had dinner before leaving home and tea when we got back,a visit to a match wasn't an excuse to eat tons of overpriced s h I t and to load up on "e" numbers with a gallon of Rola Cola,we took a flask to a match.

I see people with their kids gorging their way through pies and chocolate plus all the drinks and I shake my head.....eat either side of the match or take a chocolate bar with you if you feel you might fade away without the extra sugar and fat during that life threatening three hour period!

They may be our arch rivals but in fairness, they are looking a pretty good bet for promotion. Let's just hope that we can preserve our status!

    "Wolves fans knocking our gates".

I suppose it makes a change from the bailiffs knocking theirs.

Vile have always been our main rival in my eyes.

The dings are just a dog thurd you just try to avoid stepping on.

On the rare occasion they do well, unfortunately the dog seems to have diarrhoea.

Been over to the other side and was amazed to see at a time when they are going well by far and away the busiest recent thread on there was entitled 'West bromwich Albion.' And someone is commenting about our obsession with them. Strange.

Having said that top post 71

Don't visit their board nor do I watch their games on telly. I really see them as insignificant. I can't understand why they watch us. I had their opinions on us Monday.
I'll take their words for it they are playing total football. Not that it means a lot.
I was brought up in Dudley but still see Villa as the main rivals. They have no real rivals. The way I see it there are two Black Country teams and Wolves ay one of em.
The supporters who I know and live by me. The next door neighbour is one. I have no annomosity towards. We are the same we all pi ss in the same pot. I don't see why I should hate someone just because their scarf is a different colour to mine.

Does their bored even exist still?

More likely to bump into ET in your local chippy then finding a new post on there, visited it a while back, but left after reading the never ending disgusting bullying of harmless Acido, by jimmy nail.

There's a book out there called Samba in The Smethwick End. I think its by Dave Bowler. It's a few years old now but looks at the demise of West Midlands football. That Chorley game, I'm sure I read that the Dings couldn't fill a 50 seater coach. It also explains why Tommy Docherty left the club. The Dings had a player called Mark Buckland who was a pikey. Lived in a caravan parked in a field etc etc. One match, the Doc was giving his half time talk and couldn't see Buckland. A few minutes later, Buckland appeared munching on a hot dog. Seems he's queued in his kit with the home fans to get a hot dog. Docherty decided there and then enough was enough and left.

I know the Dings have never done modesty, which might explain the current euphoria as they consider themselves one of Europe's elite but it seems to me more a case that a lorry carrying LSD has crashed in the Mander Centre when i hear some on the radio. Some of these deluded souls might consider that if Mendez left, theres a lot of infrastructure he'll take with him so theres a lot to be said for not shouting from the rooftops about what might happen in 3 years time.

That wm phone in is comedy gold, as is that Story about the doc stripes.

It sums up the dings perfectly.

Be careful though, you cannot say anything about the dings baggiemadgrrrr (sweeper) will come on and ask why?
