If Ossie was playing now, he would be eating a subway during the match instead of the cheese sandwich. Less physical now Ossie would be still be a top keeper.

Lots of talk about Theo Walcott moving and linked to the likes of Southampton, West Ham, Everton and Newcastle.

For me he is the type of player we should be linked with but it says a lot about the clubs standing that we are not. We need players with pace who can improve the first team but we never seem to be linked with that type of player. Until we do we will never get into the top half of the PL and if you remain in the bottom half then there is only one way to go eventually.

No wonder we are in a mess if we are concerning ourselves with recruiting a new goalkeeper. We would have conceded many more goals had it not been for Ben Foster. Myhill is not a bad back up either. It beggars belief when we all know where we need to strengthen the side. Do our recruitment team ever watch the games? If they do, then God help us if they think that the goalkeeping spot is a priority. Dan Ashworth, where are you when we desperately need you?

On the subject of goalkeepers, I have been watching the Albion since the days of Norman Heath and Jim Sanders and in my humble opinion Ben Foster is top of the pile. John Osborne was a good 'keeper but again, in my opinion, no better than Tony Godden who I thought was most underrated.

I think this is the problem with foreign ownership. No one really knows what half these people are really worth or who back's them. Lai is no different if you read up on him. He was a figure off the radar according to a recent article on him and whilst he has certainly made money, no one knows how much of this was his money or how much came from investors to buy us. At a guess, I'd suspect this is behind any decisions that happen in January and the general veil of silence.

Can't see anything changing unless we sign a couple of decent goal scorers.

You have hit the nail on the head there 53! I bet even Pardew's wages are lower than what we paid Pulis. The old saying in life is so true - you get what you pay for!!

Heard Watford are after Lazar Markovic from Liverpool, they signed him for decent cash if I remember. I've seen him a couple of times and he looks okay, similar to a Chadli. Attacking midfielder. I'd go after him.

I'd also ask 'Pool about Ings or Sturridge
