On the other hand, In business surely you have to speculate to accumulate. Question is how much are they willing to spend?

    Nothing crazy they said .

The thing is , what they may see as conservative could be substantial to us , anything around a million quid and we think it's mega bucks .

Might be small change to them , I don't know but we'll soon find out .

It depends how cynical one is.

'Balancing the books' as Conway made clear at the press conference suggests we'll not be spending a million of their money.

Just putting emotion to one side
how is it any different to what PC has done
He has loaned the club money or stood as guarantor over the years & as I understand it has been repaid in full & rightly so
He has now sold the club showing a not insubstantial return on his "investment" which I have no issue with
Correct me if I'm wrong but I have not seen any serious improvements to the stadium since Mr Dennis's revamp
so why is there a different standard applied
Is it because he's from Wombwell & "one of us"
No agenda here just the position as I see it

Im glad Animal has said what he's just said. Yes I'm not over keen on Hecky as you all know. That asside I can't see em' keepin' him on.

Point 1: It's their club. They do as they see fit.

    Point 2: we're 4 points above relegation.

Point 3: This is the biggy...would you pay nye on 21 million to let sentiment see it literally go darn west stand bogs?

No clubman of year responces welcome

Where I sit there were plenty in same camp bye the way.

Of course we are all speculating mainly because we haven't got a read on them yet .

This Conway guy is a pretty smart cookie , read his CV you might say today , Colombia with a major in business the whole works .

Now I'm a layman to say the least when it comes to business but even I can spot a £5m hole in our turnover should we be relegated , this is with a position of a squad of new recruits with 12 to 24 months stll left on their deals .

I'm also thinking Hecky is in a strong position here with the consortium , they clearly rate him and want to support him , it's early days and he may be able to push for some decent finance on the strength of the consortium wanting to start on the right foot and be seen to work with him .

I'm not suggesting " anything crazy " as the saying goes but more significant than we've seen in recent times .

Yiadom is clearly going to go next month so that only strengthens Hecky's hand .

Bradshaw can be held here if we want but if Hecky can bring in someone with more quality then that's another matter , only he knows that .

What happens next month will decide which league we play in next season , we can't be fecking around , the stakes have just got higher now with the takeover , we can't go backwards , we have to stay up .
