My dear pal, I thought you would have been rejoicing in our 'slow' death by a thousand cuts, salivating over each new injury as it occurs, rather than being desperate to see the coup de gras delivered asap?

I heard (tax drehver told me, so it has some validity) that the Dees January transfer non-event is actually as result of an agreement between the two Dundee Clubs to quickly get the money spinning 4 derbies back on the plate. With the Shed having fallen way out the automatic promotion race and also unlikely to succeed through the 'B' route (they never have a Plan 'B'), it is incumbent upon the Dees to get themselves relegated to bring about the 4 derbies scenario. There is also the prospect of a possible mouth watering 5th derby in the Fizzy Cup. You heard it here first, unless you used a taxi in the last 24 hours?

    No no no.

When the mans DOON stand on his ****ing throat no 2nd chances.

My taxi driver pal tells me a certain new director of yours was recently quoted with "there isn't a Plan A never mind B" and that's why I've left May free at the moment.

It is very heartening to see you are firmly in the 'Allah be merciful' brigade!

Was our 'Fev year Plan' not our Plan A? Mind you, some plan that was. Subsequent events show it didn't exist.

Regarding your much deserved holiday abroad. I don't know what destination you have in mind, but I do hope the USA or Australia are possibilities? Maybe you can join Dundee Hall of Fame potential candidate Stephen Thompson on one of his sojourns? Plenty of flight time for him to tell you how he single-handedly gifted the Dees 'Big Team in the City' status without them having to do anything whatsoever to achieve it (other than the Doon derby of course!).

Big team status granted in 1893 and never been revoked.

Negative. 'Only team' status granted in 1983. Big Team status granted in 1909-10 (formation of Dundee Hibs and the Dees titanic struggle with Clyde to secure first major trophy win). Stamping on the irritating ant doon the road to show whose boss, etc. Situation remains more or less the same until 1959 with the advent of Jerry Kerr who begins to muddy the waters with his promotion achievement that year. This prompts another crap or get off the potty response by the Dees who respond by winning the old First Division title a couple of years later and follow this up with a European Cup semi the following year. Despite the Dees dredging the waters with these achievements the incoming tide from doon the road continues apace and further muddying the waters occurs with the Shed going on to get the better of the Dees in the city derbies. Mid 60s -late 70s a parity of sorts occurs with the Shed often finishing above the Dees in the league. 1973 sees the Dees have a last grasp at the Big Team title by winning the League Cup wi' Big Tam the Lisbon Lion haudin' the trophy ower the heid o' fellow Lion Billy McNeil. The next year the Shed qualify for their first major final (the Scottish) and try to wrest the Big Team status fae the Dees, but fail, losing 3-nil to the 'tic. By this time Jim McLean (a former Dee) is well installed at Tannadice, having sneaked the Big Team status in his back pocket when he left Dens and sets about turning Tanny intae the hame o' the Big Team. League reconstruction soon follows with the Dees ending in the lower tier, and except for a few brief flurries at proper recovery have been yo-yos between the tap tier and the tier below, either being in the main bottom feeders in the tap tier or tap feeders in the lower league, which continues to this day. Doon the road 'the wee team' usurped (guid word, eh?) the Dees 'authority by maintaining top league status (apart from a one season blip), reaching many more cup finals than the former big team did, and emulating if not surpassing their successes. Transfer of Big Team status well and truly enforced by the Jim McLean era. Dees formerly had the biggest crowds, but the change in fortunes swung this Shed's way which remains the same. 2014 sees the Shed on course for another Scottish Cup win, which ends in disaster. The following year this is followed up by another cup final (league cup) disaster. Nevertheless reaching cup finals in successive years shows clearly who is Dundee's Big Team. Alas, enter Stephen Thompson's 5 year plan and the rapid decline and relegation of Dundee United occurs with ST standing on the bridge of the sinking SS Tannadice, throwing away the Big Team baton which lands resoundingly back in the Halls of Dens Park, where it remains today, a much cherished acquisition by the Premier Division bottom feeders.

    Very shedka like response.

Em glad it dosent bother you😁

Em always confused with the dabs history😁😂😂

Did it start 1909, 1910, 1928, the chairman's wife changing your colours from ****e to really ****e, 1979 or given your "Irish heritage" when Columba drove the snakes from Iona.

    Here it is in brief.

Big team status and only team status 1893

Only team status revoked on one of aforementioned dates but big team status forever.

Only team status reinstated sometime in 2018, now if you'd kindly tell me when I'll book my hols.
