Hecky recently said ‘exciting times ahead for Barnsley’

What do you mean when you say ‘a far bigger club’?
As I said on Radio Sheffield last night - Barnsley owners can buy and sell Leeds, Sheffield United and Wednesday over 30 times.
Barnsley is far more wealthier than Leeds.

Let me put it another way - which is the bigger club Burnley or Leeds???
Which of those 2 clubs is likely to win the race to sign a player?

All what Leeds have got is bigger attendances.
Which has come about because they have traditionally spent much much more money at Leeds compared to Barnsley.
But that is now on the brink of reversing.
Hecky knows that - so why leave?

Personally I think Barca , Real Madrid and Man Utd blow PSG out of the water , City are probably questionable .

Attendance's , history and global branding tend to be the factors that constitute how big a club you are .

Hecky as left Barnsley because he thinks this team will go down and he does not want it on his CV. I don't think Leeds are going to pay a novis manager 30 grand a week 10 tops which will be more than Barnsley offered him and that will be part of him leaving. "Money"

He’s been given a short term 18 months contract at Leeds - a club he hates and a club that is financially poorer than Barnsley.
Can anyone make any sense of what has happened here - because I can’t ???

Why not just wish the guy good luck for the future, after all you would have to agree that he did pretty well for your lot in guiding the team to the Championship & winning the Football League Trophy some 104 years after winning your previous cup, Maybe if he had been backed properly in the transfer market & if some of his better players hadn't been sold ( Mawson, Hourihane, Winnall, Bree, Roberts etc. ) then Barnsley might have been able to be more competetive in what many regard as the toughest league in the World.

Anyway best of luck for the rest of the season & I really hope that you avoid relegation.

Maybe because he’s left us in the sh it before a ‘massive’ 6 pointer local derby by taking practically all the key backroom staff with any knowledge with him
