Don't see felt boots on sale though anywhere.

Further up the body, the Inuits wear furs which are more effective than man-made fibres.

Those £750 Canada Goose parkas have goose feathers in of course but you can get down jackets for a lot cheaper, I got one for £75 in the sale, best time to buy is in the Spring of course.
Ah lass was always hinting at xmas and birthdays she wanted a real animal skin coat so i got her a Donkey jacket from stores at B.S.C

Ha ha, you could well be right Eric although I only have one knackered knee the other one is fine.
Perhaps I hopped on one leg from Jerusalem.

I sometimes wear flip-flops August / September time, no white sports socks with these though.

I still wear my old work boots with the steel toe caps, old habits never die. I did try to modernise once by wearing a pair of work boots Archie got me from the stores at BSC, trouble was every time I put them on my feet went to sleep.

Bare footed while watching match (since I'm usually still in bed.)

Then an old pair of trainers in winter and Birkenstocks in summer. Might change into pair of steel toe-ed Red Wing boots (winter) or Crocs (summer) for gardening...

just normal Clarks leather shoes-well polished to keep the rain out and look proper and they have a good thick sole to insulate against the concrete. If it is really cold I wear some woollen socks that I bought about 40 years ago from my mate whose wife used to work at Bairnswear in Worksop-still going strong and reach to my knees over my long johns.

When I'm there in mind it's usually barefoot or slippers for me if it's a chilly morning. If I was there in body then it would be Dr Martens as I have several pairs of 'his' shoes, non are cherry red though.
