OT Same old Aussies

The unanimous condemnation by Australian cricket greats, Australian commentators and Australian public (at least all the ones who were on 5 Live today) and the demand for heads to roll I found a refreshing contrast to attitudes to cheating generally in football.

Almost all the Australian contributors to 5 Live were critical of the inadequate response of Cricket Australia. They said that a light punishment would be unacceptable to the Australian public and would result in massive loss of sponsorship. This story is just beginning. Wait and see.

I remember when Mike Atherton did it with sand out of his pocket. To do it with a bright Yellow piece of tape and hot to get to gett away with it with so many cameras about is quite remarkable.

Now looks as though there is some footage which suggests that the Aussies were up to similar tricks during the Ashes. Smith will have to go nd the sooner the better. Pity he doesn't have even the decency to fall on his own sword.
