Ha, ha Terry, read that back - you're starting to sound like him too!

It might be different if the team even looked like they were trying, but the majority of them don't appear to give a flying f**k
I'm not so sure of that last point, the players got applauded off at full time on Saturday. I think the motivation is there, the quality definitely is not.

One game out of how many since Brechin at home though? It's more regular to hear jeers than applause now.

Yeah, I totally agree but can we really just give a manager a few months at a time? Surely this can't go on and is the basic root of our current problems? I appreciate we'd be bucking a growing trend in football these days but it's the only forward for us IMHO.

All comes down to the board, season ticket sales or stick with the manager...and I think we know what way the board will go

I do agree constantly changing manager doesn't help and we do need stability, but I get the same feeling from Csaba as I did with Jackie Mac (after the St J cup final) and with Mixu

Looking over results the St Mirren away defeat in December was a bad performance in a key match.

Soon after there was the 6-1 defeat by Falkirk and things haven’t really recovered.

Before that the same group of players were winning most matches. They obviously lost faith in Csaba and the results have been mostly dire since Falkirk.

Things under Csaba are only going down. He lost the dressing room a while ago I fear. Club need to act to save us.

Any rebuilding would be much better done if we were in spl and had a bit of money for signings and a rebuild

Not really, Fyvie got injured just before that match then Fraser went off during it. As I've said before Csaba went from knowing his best team to not having a clue and the recruitment in January has made that worse. Given time I think he will get back to it with a team he's built, will take time though.

One or two injuries can not explain the haplessness that has followed. He is completely unable to get players to play for him and he has pretty much admitted that with his latest post match comments

I’d like to be able to agree with that Terry because he does seem to be a decent manager.
But ..... when a manager is publicly slating the players it’s not a good sign.
And his recruitment in January has hardly been a success.
The January window is never going to be the best but why waste wages on players and not play them.
He seems to be going down the Mixu road of just picking a team and hoping.
It’s a dilemma and MM is going to have to get it right.

His continual insistence on picking Murdoch in a variety of positions, leaving the only decent central-midfielder we have available to us (Slater) on the bench and regularly fielding teams including Scobbie and Quinn would seriously suggest otherwise to me.

Playing a back 3 consisting of a shyte left-back, a shyte midfielder and someone making their debut whilst leaving our best central defender on the bench and next-best sitting in the stand strikes me as someone seriously trying to get his books rather than an attempt to win any game of football.

I welcomed his appointment as I seem to recall him doing a decent job at Hearts and he's got some interesting experience on the continent but his tactics and team selections are baffling at best and utterly fcuking clueless at worst. Punting him may be very costly, though, so we may have to just ride it out and hope he stumbles upon the right team at some point.
