Tears and sadness.....because they’ve been caught ! They’re cheats and have got off very lightly.
Back in the days of steam radio...brilliant...
Whinging antipodeans.......they're only blarting 'caus they're just like all cheats and liars; they have been found out. Oh, and there's the little matter of MONEY! Loosing somwhere in the region of £8 million apiece would make me cry too.
Warner deserves all he gets (and a lot more). Not thought of very highly here and from my conversations with my Aussie mates the feelings are just same over there.
I have always quite liked Steve Smith and was very disappointed seeing what happened. As captain he should have had the strength of character to stop it (Warner) in its tracks. Real shame and I hope there is a way back eventually for him. Bancroft is guilty and must take some punishment but I think he was used. I hope he can his career back up and running.
It isn't just the ball tampering incident that has recently occurred that is the problem. The culture of the Australian side in general is extremely questionable. Their aggression often oversteps the mark and their attitude towards opponents is bullying and boorish. Yes, other teams do it to them but that is only in response to how they conduct themselves. You are often going to get flash points in a game and every side has their fiery individuals but they have turned it into an art form and cultivate it. This is the reason why there is little sympathy for them. Let's hope that this is a salutary lesson to them and that they alter their approach in the future.
I don’t agree that I am missing the point.
My point is that all this fuss is just because it is the Aussies, in other words little to do with the ball tampering. I don’t think it would have even made the press if it had have been Sri Lanka, West Indies etc. I can’t remember the Du Plessis incidents being on the main news at all, let alone much in the press. We are now jumping on the higher ground, previously occupied by the Aussies.
I do agree that they have overstepped the mark and this will hopefully make them (Australian cricket team) change their attitude. That though is representative of the team and the culture and not just down to these 3 or 4 who are being hung drawn and quartered for ball tampering, supposedly nothing else.
its not about this particular cheating if your a cricket fan which I think you are.you would know that over the years they’ve always been a bully arrogant bunch .seen it close up they take the so called sledging to far and personal, there’s a code of conduct in cricket and they don’t play to it,all that blabbering and blartin it’s pr .whats the betting they will appeal and win the case. We will have to agree to disagre.
