Played the 11 that's the best attacking. The 11 I posted yesterday.
Do you think we'll win 0-3 at bristol? Really? Put it as your prediction.
Sax, I cannot for the life of me work out whether you antagonise all around you for sport or you truly believe all that you 'proclaim'.
Earlier, I had you down for the former, but as time as pasts you have 'skipped' so much I'm now at a loss.
Dare I say it ........ You're not too far off being up there with Claret John
WADR .
But he started with 10 of your 11, and Payne (your 11th player) was given the last 35 minutes! So according to you, the evidence that Mowbray "bottled" it and that he has "gone back into his shell" is the fact that Craig Conway (who was one of our best players against Southend) was on the pitch for 55 minutes!
As Despair says, Saxo, it is hard to work out your motivation sometimes. Surely you can't really believe our season has fallen into ruin on the back of two hard-fought wins and an away-draw! You used to PRAISE Sam for grinding out results in that fashion.
I could understand it if we were struggling on the edge of the play-off zone, but look at the table, man!
Top marks to Wigan - they started the season well and are in the middle of another good spell, but we've clawed back the big lead they had. I have no problem with finishing second, and we are still in pole position to do that.
And you know, I'd bet my bottom dollar that if we SHOULD win comfortably against Bristol Rovers, it will be nothing to do with Mowbray. That's the topsy-turvy logic of the anti-Mowbray mouth-foamers. Please don't become one of them.
I have put a post up but I can step back here and see what he's doing. Its the same everytime we draw. Beyond pathetic.
I read a few of his ridiculous posts, and thought I would get him told.
What's the point of even chatting to him when he's like this?
He just goes out of his way to antagonise everyone around him, and reasoning is pointless.
We will win again next game, and he will be back.
And he had the cheek to say I am excitable.
A very good point last night, we are now a point closer to automatic promotion, with games rapidly running out.
I really have tried my best to be patient with Saxo, but when things are going well and he's wetting himself, I'm always thinking 'yeah but if we draw our next game, you will start crying again'
which he does time and time again. He's not really worth chatting to any any point, as nothing changes.
This is the exact type of football fan I dispise and avoid at all costs, so I don't see the point in bothering much anymore. We win he's bang alongside us, we draw and he goes round winding people up enjoying the fact. A very very strange character trait
If you genuinely thought a draw at gills(where we posed no threat at all), was a good result, my posts wouldn't wind you up. Deep down you know its not good enough right now, and its just at the worst time possible.
Saxo - if Shrewsbury and Wigan win all their remaining games, good luck to them, but do you think it's likely?
We've taken more points from our last five games than anyone else in the top six. That's hardly a sign of a downward spiral.
For sure, we've lacked fluency in the last three games, but our defence is so well-organised, we've ground out a couple of wins, anyway.
All teams - even the successful ones - go through various phases in the course of a season.
The knockers keep saying Mowbray is putting out a defensive line-up, but they're a bit lost when asked what the team SHOULD be. And there's good reason for that because, when Nyambe is fit, ten of the players more or less pick themselves. I really can't identify this brilliant, alternative attacking line-up that Mowbray is failing to pick.
At one point, there were loud calls for Payne to be an automatic choice, but there have been several games where he has made little impact.
Another example: Mowbray kept faith with Evans and has been rewarded, which has made a number of critics go very quiet on the topic.
I think the last half-hour at Gillingham was exactly the sort of situation tailor-made for Chapman. It must be really annoying for Mowbray that he doesn't have that option available. Unfortunately, we don't have that sort of winger in the Under-23s either.
Obviously, Bennett could be moved up and replaced by Travis or Caddick, but Bennett's not really a Chapman-style winger. He relies on industry and a sound all-round game - not flair.
I really don't get what has led you to go from one extreme to the other so fast.
You can put 11 christiano ronaldos out and instruct them to play cautiously. That's exactly what mowbray does. It was so obvious V gills he'd settled for a point after taking Dack and Graham off.
Rubbish again. He didn't bring on defenders!
Dack had a poor game, and Graham is consistently managed to protect him.
We weren't penetrating, so Mowbray tried two players who have excellent passing-skills - Payne and Whittingham. In other words, he was trying something different to change the pattern. It didn't work. Not everything a manager attempts DOES work.
The Ronaldo comment is just ridiculous. Are players robots? Do you imagine for a moment that they are running around thinking, "Oh, I shouldn't shoot here because the manager told me to be cautious."?
Players react to what's in front of them in the moment. They aren't pushed about by subbuteo flicks from the manager.
