    Must be so frustrating for the players having the manager put on the brakes all the time, when they want to attack teams. Our squad is as good, if not better than Wigan's. The difference is the manager.

    I feel Mr Mowbray believes its more important to keep his unbeaten run going than winning.

    Yes, I didn't think Mowbray played well that day. I think he should have stuck to centre-back, rather than putting himself on the wing.
    You're descending into this "the players have no responsibility" nonsense that litters the other sites.
    Do you honestly believe that in the course of a football match, with 20-odd players, and lots of unpredictable elements, the ONLY thing which determines the outcome is what the manager has set up in advance? Individual games often take on a life of their own, which is far beyond any single person's control. Also, nowhere near enough attention is paid to mistakes. Just one of those can determine the result, and how can that sort of error be the manager's responsibility?
    Sport just isn't predictable or "manageable" in that way. It would be much less interesting if it was!
