Well its been suggested by fans on the Bbs (and ok that doesnt mean its true!), that Adam Hammill more or less took charge of the first team for the Brentford match, and maybe he even picked himself to play central midfield. All the players were mysteriously UP for that match werent they, more often than usual, and it does make you wonder. Somebody mentioned Lloyd Isgrove was/is another one who thinks the bloke was ridiculous and that none of the players believed in him and didnt want to play for him.

However if its true, why didnt they raise themselves like that for those 6 successive away defeats ?.

    Common sense approach pays dividends.
Paul Warne laiked for Rotherham for years, won promotion twice with them and was a very good professional who obviously is passionate about the club. He commands respect. What are we gonna end up wi? Another foreign freeloader who knows nowt abart us or English football is my bet, after all, the goat hair fits that category and is pulling the strings along with others of a similar ilk. It doesn't bode well. My bet is we'll struggle next season with this set up unless changes are made and lessons learned. We'll see what happens mate. I fear there'll be some very disappointed and disillusioned fans in a years time

I think you under estimate the importance of this latest appointment Ponty, we need some quality this time dont we.
We want somebody who knows about Lg One and not some foreign nobody like the last bloke, and especially a foreign nobody who is also a complete clown. Because our hopes are to come straight back up arent they, or challenge for the play offs at least.
Theres also the added importance of making a good appointment to get our fans back on board, because they sure as hell havent done this so far have they.
And it also sends out the right sort of message to us as fans, it shows if their intent for our club is still genuine and Im sure we're all wanting to question them at the moment arent we.

If you read my post again. I was inferring that someone like Paul Warne wouldn't be a bad shout in league 1.

But then we’d be in the same boat because he’d be a massive gamble in the championship. Look at hecky, a good man manager and coach but dreadful at spending money.
Question therefor is do you appoint someone to get you out of league 1 and then upgrade if they get you up?

Gwynn, you must have missed my FAO Gwynn post.

On 2nd Feb 2018 you promised to take in your sister-in-laws dog for a week if we were relegated.

I was wondering how arrangements were going knowing your love of dogs.

Warne might be ok in Lg One but why would he leave what hes done at Rotherham for our shambles of a club. I used to tell myself that we should be looking a lot higher than somebody like Warne, but hes probably on our level now after whats happened.

You have to question the motives of the owners. Multi Billionaire consortium wouldn't be scared of a backlash from supporters and could have sacked Hecky in december, installed a decent manager and given him funds in the transfer window. They could have given Hecky some brass to spend. Hence keeping us up. Why didn't they do this?

I'm not as confident about these fellas as I was back in december. I think there's more to it. It 'll be real estate.

I wasn’t going to repeat what I said months ago but here goes........
The owners know exactly what they are doing? In League One they can build a team to get promoted so they can SELL the players for profit, they know this can be done because we made millions doing it last year!
They know that we can’t afford or attract the players to get us from the Championship to the Premier League on the cheap to make a profit so they have dropped a level to achieve their aims.
They won’t say this because they need the fans to buy into “we are doing all we can to restore our Championship status” so we will buy season/match tickets, shirts etc so that their outlay is as minimal as it can be.
They haven’t bought BFC to make us bigger and better cos if they had they would have spent more in January and kept Hecky! But Hecky left because he knows exactly what they are about and decided to go from his home town club to a club that is notorious for having no patience with managers who don’t give instant results! For me that says it all Hecky didn’t want to go he felt he had to?
Then they appointed a complete clown and said he was “their first and only choice” of course he was cos they wanted us to go down!
They have bought us to make money....end of! They can only do this at our club by repeating what we did under Johnson and Hecky by recruiting cheap and selling high, so we need to enjoy next season and be disappointed the following season....repeat.....repeat.....repeat.......repea t.....repeat.
However enjoy working your fingers to the bone to give them your hard earned dosh! My view is buy a season ticket for League One but miss it the following year.....repeat......repeat....repeat....you get the gist.
