Your ex next door policeman friend, well he would say that wouldn't he?
So in short the police [those highly trained to handle crowd situations] did nothing wrong before, during & most importantly after
I don't accept that the Liverpool fans are entirely blameless but how many police died in the incident
Did your policeman friend indicate to you whether his report was altered post incident
If the fans were to blame why did the police see the need to lie
    Nowt to do with opinions
There are enough facts to make a reasoned judgment & you're ignoring them

I wasn't there and neither were you so in such circumstances it's probably better to accept the verdict the last inquiry delivered and they found SYP and SWFC to be at fault .

You don't face trial for the manslaughter of 95 people or perverting the course of justice without solid evidence .

Whether Duckinfield is part of the conspiracy or the fall guy remains to be seen , he made a monumental error of judgement in which case a certain amount of sympathy could be found , clearly it was a difficult situation and he was an inexperienced commanding officer .

Cover up's and lies are a different matter .

The 10,000 fans charging in would not have happened if the proper police had been used, i think the guy is dead now now cos he were ill a few yrs ago, but he had voiced concerns, the fa invited him to the day and he declined, but he himself said Duckinfield was out of his depth, and combined with incompetence and over confidence, he played a huge part in what happened, and the aftermath, well it makes you sick really. I remember my dad tellin me an ar rich to go out an play, he knew there weren't no football bein played.

Mr Duckenfield seems to me to be the classic case of it's not what you know but who you know and his rise through the police ranks to commanding officer on that tragic day .

It's something both you and I have recognised over years exile and to a certain degree how it is out there in this world .

We've all worked under a complete nob head who got the gig because he connected with certain people and his ability to do the job was secondary .

If that's the way it works then crack on although it was never my way .

The thing that boils my pyss is that when you feck up at least take responsibility for it and be a man , what you don't do is blame others below your rank or frame totally innocent people for your failings and believe you are immune to responsibility just because you hold power .

There is more to this than just Duckenfield and various others , they were protected as much as it was possible to be protected but there are others and to give them up will open the real can of worms which points directly at the Thatcher government and embarrass the present one .

Nearly 30 years is the biggest clue as to how this goes further than Duckenfield and co .
