Very few if any want to do that, they just want to control it. There is a very big difference.

I don't think even Hitler fought against 27 countries on his own and it took 6 years to work that one out and we needed quite a substantial amount of help to do that

Not sure it’s relevant to the debate but the map doesn’t look much different to Hitlers conquered and allied countries in Europe. He also had allies in Africa and Asia.

OC --many people that I hear do want to control it by stopping it! The same difference! Anybody with any common sense, like us, are well aware that it wold be a bad thing to stop all immigration, however, there are quite a number of people around who voted for Brexit who really do think that we will be able to stop it!

The EU are laughing all the way to the bank because the more our leaders fight each other the more they will realise that there is no strong unity in any negotiation. Another General Election will solve absolutely nothing because we do not have any leaders who would be likely to get a grip of the whole situation. Very sad!

Maybe a few BNP in Burnley but there’s lots more want to let anyone in though.
I agree we need a leader and Theresa isn’t one, nor is Jeremy or Vince. We also need Parliamentarians willing to implement the publics choice and a civil service that wants to think and work rather than look for the easy option of no change.
The DUP have yet to pass comment on Ireland.
Boris or Davis would shake things up and deliver a different Brexit but I doubt their colleagues would ever give them the chance.
There is no doubt the current situation will help the EU damage us, but a real Brexit would damage them much more and make them concede, but right now they will just take and take.

I live in an area a long way from Burnley so I have no idea about the BNP in Burnley --I hear the opinions of many north eastern Labour supporters who honestly thought that leaving the EU would put a stop to most of the immigration. They only need to go into our local hospital and supermarkets to realise how much we rely on immigration, however, there are none so blind as those who will not see.

Interesting that Supersub, 59/60 has also claimed that Brexiteers want to stop all immigration. You're right it's an insane proposition, but I really wouldn't worry about it, maybe some Labour supporters are worried about their jobs, and some morons on the far right want an end to it, but they are an insignificant minority. Not one of the groups campaigning for Leave ever suggested an end to immigration, nor did I hear any individual advocating an end to immigration either, but maybe I missed that like I missed Croatia's red check shirts. None of the main political parties advocate an end to immigration, not even UKIP, who were pushing for an Australian style points based immigration system, not an end to immigration itself. Rees-Mogg, Farage, Boris, Davis, Redwood, Gove, Fox, Bone, Leadsome, Raab, all Brexiteers who want a clean break from the EU, and immigration controlled by our government, nothing contentious about that, it's the default position of virtually every country in the world outside of the EU.

An end to immigration just isn't an issue, no one of any relevance is proposing it.

But it’s a remote secluded dark place where their scheming and plotting can go on with no one to whip them.
