    and greys monument in tehe toon the architecture etc around there is great

    For a pint ,def visit the crown posada the oldest pub, and sit outside spoons on the quayside about half the price of the pitcher and piano.
    Look behind the cathedral for amen corner .. Good photo op ,and walk round the back and find the vampire rabbit above a doorway.
    If you like decent beer , not ****e lager , head of steam or tapped or Bacchus .

    Oh aye have a greggs ham and pease pudding stottie also ,then walk it off by walking up the dog leap stairs .

    thought the george was the oldest by a couple of hundred years

    visit the bridge arms aka newcastle arms right under the tyne bridge for real ales loads of them
