Keep his no 17 shirt...
Does anyone even know roughly what he earns? Is it upward of £10k pw?
Brighton are a Prem club working with a completely different budget to the majority of EFL clubs. I doubt any difference in wages each club is willing to pay would be an issue to their bank balance.
If the loan system is to develop him as a player for Brighton, then we would be favourites given championship status.
He has had a season in L1, so their is little benefit to Brighton letting him play in L1 again unless it is permanent.
I'll speculate at 10k then
B&HFC probably now want 75% paid instead of 25%
I don't think he's worth that
No further Millers transfer news on "Football Heaven" tonight
Back track to his beginning. Irish league so hardly getting a big wage. Moves to Brighton with a view to being developed as one for the future so again wouldn't have received a massive wage when signing on. Let's be conservative say 5k- 8k.
Now flip the coin, he wouldn't just uproot his family for nothing so he may well have held out for a tad more but even Brighton wouldn't be looking to splash out 15 k- 20k a week on a 'future' player. After all, he's spent more time out on loan the play first team for them.
He's probably looking to want 10k a week which is hardly a massive wage by any standards in the Championship but, we are Rotherham and it's probably TS saying he has a strict wage limit which he's probably not willing to breach for any player. Good sound business platform or a costly one if the right players are not retained?
Either way football is a cut throat business and it's all about looking after your family so expect the ink to be jotted with Posh and Save Evans soon.
Yep think it would be folly to pay Towell a lot more than the rest of the squad it would just cause unrest. Besides. like ive said, i think there are equal and better out there.
